Collecting Christmas Tree's for St. Richard's Hospice

Blog

1st December 2022

Each year a group of businesses volunteer to collect Christmas Trees in the Evesham area to raise money for St. Richard’s Hospice. We are a part of that group and each year volunteer time and machinery to collect Christmas trees from around Evesham.

Each year thousands of real Christmas trees are bought for the festive period only to be thrown away or left to rot in January. Well, you can recycle your Christmas trees and that’s exactly what St Richards Hospice want you to do.

For a donation of your choice, you can have your Christmas tree collected and recycled. One of Henson Plant hire might be round to collect your tree and it gets taken and sent through the chipper.

Why is this so important?

This is a wonderful initiative and provides great value to the area. Firstly, removing waste and recycling these trees is great. But it also supports St. Richards Hospice.

St Richards Hospice is in Evesham and was founded in 2006 thanks to donors and supporters raising funds. The living well centre at St. Richard’s hosts a variety of sessions, groups and activities in a relaxed and supportive environment. This provides well-needed support and care for those that need it. The In-Patient Unit provides 24-hour care, tailored to each person’s needs. Patients and their families are cared for by a team of professionals.

This hospice provides fantastic care and is well-loved and respected within the community.

If you would like your Christmas tree collected, then head to the link here. Your donation will go a long way in helping those who need it. We are thrilled we can continue to help and support our local community.
