Summer has arrived and we can’t wait to get out into the garden and enjoy a nice BBQ with friends and family. But is your garden summer-ready?

Here are a few tips to shape up your garden ready for your summer events:

• Add or Change your borders
  

The borders of your garden are a great way to get your garden ready for summer. Use a hose pipe to map out where you’d like them to go to make sure you’re happy with your new design before you start digging.

• Replace or Repaint your fence
  

Giving your fence a new lease of life can be a quick and budget-friendly way to give your garden a new look, whether you paint it or go for a completely new design. You can dramatically change the look and feel of your garden with this improvement.

• Clean up your garden furniture
  

There is no doubt over the winter that your garden furniture will have gathered some creepy crawlies and some unwanted guests. Make sure to give them a good clean, including cushion covers. For any wooden furniture, you can reoil it to give it a shine. 

• Extend your seating area

This could be lights illuminating your walkways or fairy lights around your seating areas. The only problem might be your guests might not want to leave!

These are just a few things you can do to enhance the look and feel of your garden, taking a couple of these changes can make a massive difference to your garden and overall enjoyment of the summer.
