How to Change a Bucket on a Machine Fitted with a Klac Hitch?

Our machines can be fitted with different types of attachments to suit your project needs. Swapping these out can be easy and straightforward. We have made a helpful guide below on how to change a bucket on a machine fitted with a klac hitch. We can provide a demonstration of this when you hire our equipment. 

 Step 1: Leaving the bucket above the ground with space underneath to allow room, find the Klac handle, which will usually be located on the front of the machines frame.

Step 2: Go to the bucket and insert the klac handle into the quick hitch (located at the top, front of the bucket) and push down to release the springs and the bucket will swing loose.

Step 3: Replace the klac handle back into its holder on the machine and lower the bucket to the floor, slowly pushing down on the lever to release the hooks. Pull away to leave the bucket on the ground safely.

Step 4: Locate the bucket you would like to use and do the reverse to above by lifting the lever and allowing the new bucket to lock into place.

Now you are ready to use the excavator as needed. This can be repeated if you need to change the bucket back or to another attachment.
